Formerly Gathen Industires, Inc., True Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of Tool & Die products for the automotive and aerospace industries. Our company history stretches back over 70 years, embodying traditional craftsmanship values to provide you superior quality tooling.
If it’s involved with Tool & Die, we can handle it. In our 60,000 square foot facility we can complete full process construction from concept, all the way to tryout & stampings.

Remembering Our Company History
1948-1990 Gathen Industries, Inc.
Founded in Roseville, MI by William “Bill” Gathen and employing up to 120 employees at its height, Gathen Industries was a leading manufacturer in precision tooling.
Bill instilled traditional German based trade values in his company from his time in Moenchen-gladbach, Germany in 1927.
Even after his passing in 2002, his traditional values still live on in the current company.
1990 True Industries, Inc.
Due to the early 1990 recession and resulting buyout, True officially opened its doors by venterous brothers Gary and Gregory Kiesgen.
Both Gary and Greg served apprenticeships, attended Macomb Community College South Campus and previously worked at Gathen Industries.
True retained almost all of the pre-existing staff and customers from Gathen during its transition.
1995 Ford Supplier Q-1 Certification
From the dedication of its staff and devotion to providing superior quality, True was named one of the few critical Tool & Die suppliers to Ford and was awarded the “Supplier Q-1 certification”
This major milestone marked the beginning of True’s success with larger OEM’s and its investing into larger equipment to outmatch most of its competitors.
Present Day
45+ Employees strong and with over 600+ years of collective tradesmen experience, True is still a devoted Tool & Die supplier to major OEM’s.
Although our company is faced with new industry challenges such as oversea die development and lack of new entering apprentices, we continue to adapt and overcome with our devoted staff. Gary and Greg Kiesgen still lead True after 25+ years with forward thinking objectives to secure a prosperous future for the company.
